Clean Water Act PDF Print E-mail
The Clean Water Act, 2006 was created by the Ontario Government and sets out a basic framework for developing Source Protection Plans. The intent is for communities to use a science-based approach to protect their water supplies with methods that work for them.

The CTC Source Protection Committee (SPC) will lead the development of Source Protection Plans, in consultation with other community members, for the CTC region. To ensure that their work incorporates the concerns of interested parties within the region the CTC Source Protection Committee consults very broadly with municipal, economic and public stakeholders.  This consultation will help with the development of the three major pieces of work that are to be developed under the Clean Water Act: the Terms of Reference, the Assessment Reports and the Source Protection Plans.  The CTC SPC will be responsible for developing these documents for each of the Source Protection Areas within the CTC Source Protection Region.
