Stormwater Management Basics for Landscapers - Workshop
February 19, 2009, 1:00 – 4:30 pm, Northern District Library, Toronto


Riversides has partnered with the Green Gardeners Community Collaborative to offer a workshop for green landscapers and those who are interested in greening their services. 
Learn from stormwater and green business experts and network with other Toronto landscape contractors to share experiences, ideas and practical tips to green your business, help clients achieve sustainability goals and employ new stormwater management methods.
  • How to add value for clients and attract business with green landscape services
  • The problems with stormwater run-off and innovative ways to help clients comply with the Downspout Disconnection By-law with simple and attractive stormwater management methods
  • Case studies and demonstrations on the benefits and costs of novel landscape solutions including rainwater harvesting, rain barrels and rain / bog gardens
Registration fee is $75, or $50 for non-profit organizations, students, low income groups and members of partner organizations (see registration form for a full list). Registration includes light refreshments and a resource kit for participants.
